Triple-Threat Looking for a Hometown Win
Boris Said, Brandon Davis, and Tomy Drissi team-up
in Ford Mustang GTs
Huntington Beach, CA (April 6, 2010) - ACS Express Racing has assembled a team of champions for the World Challenge Championship at the upcoming Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Boris Said, Brandon Davis and Tomy Drissi will each drive a 2011 Ford Mustang GT.
These hometown drivers have all claimed victory on the streets of Long Beach in a Ford Mustang. Boris Said, 2002 Trans-Am Series Champion, recorded his win in 2003 driving for ACS Express in the #33 Ford Mustang Cobra. Tomy Drissi, 2009 Trans-Am Series Champion, won in 2000 with #5 Ford Mustang from Drissi/Stewart Motorsports. And most recently, Brandon Davis recorded his first GT win at Long Beach (2008) before going on to earn the title of World Challenge GT Champion in 2009.
“In 2008, it was great to get a win in front of my friends and family,” said Brandon Davis, driver of the #1 Applied Computer Solutions Ford Mustang GT. “I have been with the World Challenge series for a few years now and to finally bring home the championship was an awesome feeling.”
“This year we have a different approach for Long Beach,” said Davis. “Since we are only competing at this World Challenge race, we are here to win and won’t be satisfied with anything less than the top of the podium.”
Team owner and proud father, Mike Davis, has hung up his driving suit after competing on this street circuit since 1999. “We are excited to show off our new Mustangs to the race fans and Ford enthusiasts,” said Mike Davis. “The Ford Mustang GT has great lines, broad shoulders and looks like American Muscle should. The Ford Mustang GT is quick and reliable so our driver lineup has a good chance to finish strong. With three previous winners of the Long Beach Grand Prix on the same team, the only team order is ‘don’t take each other out’.”
Boris Said will drive the neon yellow #3 Applied Computer Solutions Ford Mustang GT.
Tomy Drissi will drive the black #11 Ford Mustang GT sponsored by DREAMWORKS SHREK Forever After 3D in theatres May 21st.
The World Challenge Champions race at Long Beach begins on Sunday, April 18th at 4:15 p.m.(PDT) airing on Versus, May 1 at 1:30 p.m.(PDT)
