MAKING MOVES AT MOSPORT:
ACS EXPRESS  RACING CHALLENGES FOR CHAMPIONSHIP

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada – If ever there were a race team ready to make a run for the title, it is ACS Express Racing and driver Brandon Davis.

A hard charger with calculating composure, he’s like a cat in the cockpit and right now he is as fired up as an ignition switch. He senses a drivers championship but knows the team must excel at the SCCA’s World Challenge GT race as part of the Grand Prix of Mosport.

“I’ve run well  there in the past,” said Brandon, part of a two-car team that includes his father, Mike Davis. “We’ve been working hard and had a good test heading into the race. I’m optimistic.”

Brandon captured his first career pole here in 2005 in a Touring Car. In his first year in the SPEED World Challenge GT series, he is third in the title chase with 484 points. He drives the a #10 jet black Ford Mustang Cobra while his father Mike pilots a #11 vibrant neon yellow Ford Mustang Cobra. Brandon won from the pole at Long Beach this year – a season highlight as the team is located in Huntington Beach, CA – and has finished second at Salt Lake City and Mid-Ohio.

“I’m so proud of what we have accomplished as a team in this series this year,” Mike Davis said. “Brandon has driven the wheels off the car but he’s also been very smart, which is the sign of a mature race car driver. As a father, I am very proud of him. As a team owner, I am very pleased.”

For his part, Brandon is focused on only one thing: Being a rookie drivers champion.

“There’s still a long way to go and we’ve got to be perfect from here on out,” he said. “In fact, we need some help because we’ve had some bad luck (a DNF at Watkins Glen and being crashed out at the last race in Road America). But we’re trying different things to see what works best for Mosport. We have this race and then Detroit the next week, so this is when the championship will be decided.”

ACS Express is also supported by these associate sponsors: Red Line Oil and Mothers Polish and Wax.
