ACS EXPRESS RACING ON THE ROAD AGAIN
TO ROAD AMERICA AND TITLE RUN
ELKHART LAKE, Wisc. – The road to the championship turns into Road America this weekend, with ACSs Express Racing in position to make a run for the season-ending checkered flag.
Dynamic Brandon Davis – son of team owner and teammate Mike Davis – is currently third in drivers points and is looking to close the gap in the three SCCA SPEED World Challenge August races. The first is the SPEED GT at Road America presented by Remington Shaving & Grooming as part of the Generac 500.
The Davis duo drives Ford Mustang Cobras, Brandon in the jet black #10 and Mike in the vibrant neon yellow and purple #11. Brandon has driver 435 points, 70 out of the lead. Mike Davis is 11th with 282 points.
“We’re in the hunt for the championship,” Brandon Davis said. “The first event in this three-race August stretch is very important. The team is strong and we’re ready to go.”
Mike Davis said. “We look forward to keeping the momentum going at Road America. This is one of my favorite tracks of all time. It’s a great track, with great fans and is an ideal environment for racing.”
The long, challenging layout of Road America will test the Mustangs but don’t look for the points pursuer Brandon Davis to hold back to see how things develop. He’s a hard charger who has won this year from the pole at Long Beach and is coming off a second-place finish in the last race at Mid-Ohio.
After Road America is Mosport (Aug. 21-24) and Detroit (Aug. 29-31).
